The VP2468 is loaded with useful features any decent photographer or designer would appreciate. It allows you to see imagery in an entirely new light by preserving color consistency and retain shadow density from capture to print.
Professionals such as graphic designers and photographers in the print publishing and imaging industries need capable hardware that is able to preserve color fidelity, from conception to final delivery. The VP2468 meets all the requirements in terms of value and performance.
This display is equipped with diagonal a 24-inch color active matrix TFT LCD panel with Superclear IPS Technology. This ensures you enjoy accurate and vivid colors with consistent levels of brightness from angles up to 178o, which literally means you get to see details clearly from any angle.
The SuperClear IPS panel technology delivers best-in-class image quality, whether you are looking at VP2468’s screen from above, below, front, or the side. Imaging professionals and designers demand the best visuals due to the requirements of their workflow, and this monitor is the best choice we recommend.
This is probably where the VP2468 excels; its color reproduction capability is astonishingly accurate and precise. It is able to achieve this feat by leveraging a handful of technologies including the following –
- The ViewSonic Colorbration Kit
- Delta E<2
- Advanced 14-Bit 3D LUT Color Engine Processing
- 100% sRGB Color Gamut
- Luminance Balance
- 5 Optimized Gamma Corrections
- Independent 6-axis Color Adjustment
- Adaptive Color Preset Modes
The ViewSonic Colorbration Kit
The ViewSonic Colorbration Kit (sold separately) allows you to calibrate the monitor’s colors with ease. The kit was developed in partnership with color management experts X-rite. The Colorbration Kit offers hardware calibration functionality that works by aligning the graphics card and the monitor to ensure long-term consistency and accurate color reproduction.
Ensure you install the Colorbration software before activating the calibration function.
The VP2468 is also able to maintain color accuracy with Delta E<2 color accuracy. It reproduces stunning colors that are true to real life for consistent and brilliant imagery every time.
Advanced 14-Bit 3D LUT Color Engine Processing
There’s also the advanced 14-bit 3D LUT unmatched color engine with a color palette of up to 4.3 trillion colors. What you get is amazingly accurate image reproduction for reviewing your highly valued photos, or matching Pantone colors as a designer.
100% sRGB Color Gamut
Monitors and TVs employ the sRGB color gamut to display colors. Well, this display excels at this with its 100%* sRGB panel color coverage which enables it to reproduce richer and more vivid colors. The result is images that meet or exceed industry standards with perfection.
This monitor is able to automatically and precisely balance luminance values with its Uniformity Correction Function to a delta of <5%. The results are images and graphics with uniform luminance across every detail and color spectrum. Uniformity of color across the screen is key to achieving the most accurate viewing and editing of images – without which will result to incorrect color adjustments.
5 Optimized Gamma Corrections
The VP2468 offers 5 gamma settings, ranging from Gamma 1.8 to Gamma 2.6. These settings enable it to optimize color performance and contrast ratio for a range of tasks such graphic design, video editing, photo editing, retouching, and much more.
Independent 6-axis Color Adjustment
Talk about total control, you can individually customize hue and saturation in your photos for each color axis (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow) without affecting the output of other colors on the VP2468. What this means is that you can choose to target a single color in the whole gamut and make adjustments to it.
The result is better saturation controls per individual color.
Adaptive Color Preset Modes
This monitor is also able to display a range of industry-standard color modes such as sRGB, EBU, SMPTE-C, and REC709 color precision modes. This provides for a consistent viewing experience with a range of screen applications. This is especially advantageous for photographers with cameras equipped with these color models. You have excellence and consistency in color information, from your camera to the screen.
All these features combine to make the ViewSonic VP2468 24-inch display the best monitor for graphic design in 2020.

Ergonomics & Design
The VP2468 is well designed in some respects, though there are design decisions which we didn’t like. Nevertheless, when it comes to ergonomics, it scores high. The VP2468 automatically adjusts the image when rotated on its pivot.
This is due to its intentional design which provides a full range of adjustments for increased productivity and comfort. It offers swivel, pivot, tilt, and height adjustment options which is powered by the built-in G sensor. Your photos will automatically adjust to the screen’s orientation when you rotate the screen on its pivot effortlessly. You just need to download the Auto-Pivot software to get this working.
In terms of design, the monitor features a slim bezel frameless design which allows you to see more of your work, and less of the monitor. You can even run multi-monitor setups to realize massive screen real estate which creates a seamless and pure visual experience in multi-monitor setups without the distraction of boundaries. Photographers and graphic designers can finally enjoy visual processing of extended content with more focus and fewer distractions.
We found one feature disappointing though; the location of the power buttons and settings. Well, they are placed at an awkward position at the back of the panel. This may be problematic for some users who place their panels close to a wall, as they have to reach behind the unit to make adjustments or turn off the monitor.
Finally, you can mount it on the wall with the included VESA mounting points at the back, that is, if you prefer this.

This monitor has connectivity options aplenty. There’s HDMI, USB 3.0, DisplayPort, and Mini DisplayPort. With these, you have more flexibility for connecting VP2468 to MacBooks, Ultrabooks, and other devices. You can also daisy chain multiple monitors using a single DisplayPort connection for better cable management and a tidier work environment.
It has also got a standard 3.5mm audio output jack for those who would prefer to listen to music while working. The only downside is the lack of DVI and VGA connectors, which is not really a downside as these interfaces are phased out already.
